Prose and Consequences
The plot of the mystery is as follows: Well-known celebrity author Clover Carmichael is hosting her first annual Lucky Leaf Book Club Retreat! Be-Leafers from all across the country are invited to come make new friends and discuss books. However, Clover’s secret past is about to catch up to her when guests arrive, each with a secret of their own. Prose & Consequences is an interactive, improv murder mystery, where all guests are encouraged to take part in the party and solve the mysteries for themselves.
Prose and Consequences will be performed as a paid dinner for patrons at 7:30pm on Friday July 11, and Saturday, July 12

Time: 7-9pm each night (check-in beginning at 6:30pm)
Location: Newnan Theatre Company, 24 First Ave, Newnan, GA

Details:
Prose and Consequences will be an improvisational murder mystery, and auditions will consist of improv games. Improv experience is not required but is recommended to audition. Rehearsals will be three times a week, with added rehearsals for Tech Week.
Prose & Consequences will be directed by Paige Mikles and assistant directed by Alexis-Colon Ortiz.
Those wishing to audition need to be 18 and older.

Available roles are:
Clover Carmichael- (Female, 20’s-30’s) Author and Influencer, Clover managed to build an empire out of her parent’s dying. Charming, beautiful, and spiteful.
Jean Lucas- (Female, 20’s-30’s) Clover’s best friend, and a gracious hostess. Jean is constantly berated by her best friend Clover. Jean is seen as a pushover with a bit too much affection for alcohol, but she will go above and beyond for people she’s loyal to. Neurotic perfectionist.
Edgar- (Male, 30-40’s) dastardly and cutthroat. Slimy and two-faced, an editor for a major publishing company.
Florence- (Female, 20’s) A true romantic and a true lady. Extremely dainty, maybe even to the point of collapse.
Stan Ditko- (Male, 20’s) Comic book aficionado and all around complete nerd. Has a grudge against the world and wants to be accepted by society.
Will Green- (Male, 30’s-50’s) Could be a serial killer. He has an unsettling manner and a love of all horror books. Except he’s never actually finished reading a single horror novel–he only watches the movie adaptations.
Graham Sleet- (Male, 30’s-50’s) An avid fantasy reader. He often has his head in the clouds, but can stir up drama when he’s bored (which is quite often)
Sue Ellen- (Female, 30’s-40’s) Pre-school teacher. While she does read other things, Sue Ellen mainly prefers children’s books and novels. She is earnest, but completely kooky and crazy. She has a dog, Buttercup, who she insists is her baby.
Buttercup- (any age, 18 and older) A dog
Director’s Note: All actors will be encouraged to make the characters their own.
