NTC awards Wyatt Gentry Scholarship

Newnan Theatre Company is pleased to announce Benjamin Dell as the recipient of the Wyatt Gentry Scholarship for 2015. This scholarship was founded four years ago and is named for Wyatt Gentry, a member of the Newnan Theatre Company who died tragically at the age of fifteen.

Dell has been a part of the NTC family for years. He has appeared in productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Bye, Bye Birdie, Seussical the Musical and was the assistant director for James and the Giant Peach. He also recently completed an internship with The Shakespeare Tavern in Atlanta, where he was part of their production of Hamlet.

“I love working with Newnan Theatre Company. They brought me in like a family member, and these folks have been my second family for a long time,” Dell says, smiling.

Ben will be attending Georgia State University, where he will be studying English and theatre.

Directed by Jeni Dees

This stage version of the screen classic uses the most recognizable music of the movie’s score, including "Over the Rainbow," "If I Only Had a Brain," and "Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead." L. Frank Baum’s classic tale is a family favorite. One day a twister hits young Dorothy’s farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world where she and her dog, Toto, meet the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion, and travel to the Wonderful Land of Oz to meet the Wizard who can help them all get what they wish for most.

September 3–6, 10–13, 2015

One of the greatest popular successes of recent Broadway history offers a skillful blending of gasp-inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter. A thriller-writer whose recent works have been flops is prepared to go to any lengths to improve his fortunes. Twists, turns and sudden shocks hold audiences spellbound until the very last moment.

Directed by Paul Conroy, Deathtrap will be presented in NTC’s Black Box Theatre Oct 1 – 11, 2015.

2015-16 Season tickets

2015-16 Season Tickets are on sale now!

More than just a ticket to every show...

At Newnan Theatre Company, our season tickets are a little different. When you purchase our season ticket, you actually purchase a set number of admissions. For example, our regular season ticket is good for 10 admissions - however you wish to use them. You could attend every show in our season once and use 10 admissions, or attend five shows and bring a friend to each one (5 x 2 = 10). This system offers you total flexibility in how you use your admissions, and you never feel like you have to see every show in our season lineup, just the ones that appeal to you!

Season ticket holders enjoy discounted admission, special reserved seating (with a chocolate on your seat!), and invitations to "members only" events and performances.

As an NTC season ticket holder, you also enjoy knowing you are supporting live theatre in your community. Season Tickets are a great gift for the theatre lover in your life!
