MEET THE N.I.T.W.I.T.S : Newnan’s Improv Troupe!
N.I.T.W.I.T.S.
For more than fifteen years, Newnan Theatre Company’s improvisational comedy troupe, N.I.T.W.I.T.S., has been bringing fast-paced, audience-driven comedy to the community. Inspired by the style of shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?, each performance is completely unscripted and built from audience suggestions. From random topics and locations to unexpected objects and scenarios, no two shows are ever the same. With themed performances throughout the year, N.I.T.W.I.T.S. offers a fun night out where the audience becomes part of the show and anything can happen.
LUNATICS
The Lunatics is Newnan Theatre Company’s developmental improv group for performers who are newer to improv or looking to continue building their skills. Members audition for the group and work on improv games, scene work, audience interaction, and live performance experience. The Lunatics are also invited to perform at select shows throughout the year, giving members the opportunity to gain stage experience while growing as improvisers.

Summer Improv Workshops
Youth Improv Workshop
For rising 7th–12th graders, this summer improv group meets from 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM on select Fridays (May 29, June 5, June 12, June 19, and July 24) and focuses on quick-thinking, collaboration, and performance skills through improv games, scene work, and comedy exercises. Students will also take part in a graduation showcase and have the opportunity to open for a live comedian during a real comedy show while building confidence onstage.
Cost: $150 for all classes
Maximum of 15 students
Adult Improv Workshops
Designed for adults ages 18 and up, this summer improv class meets on Saturdays from June 13 through July 25 and focuses on confidence, creativity, and performance skills through improv games, scene work, and collaborative comedy exercises. Participants will also perform in a special graduation show and have the opportunity to audition for the NITWITS 2026–27 Improv Troupe while gaining live performance experience.
Cost: Free!
Registration not required to participate but encouraged

Our players will be performing improv games each night they won’t even know till you do! Randomly selected with YOUR help from a pool of all our season’s previous shows! There will be laughs! (probably) tears! (definitely) and two nights of randomized greatness you won’t want to miss!
